Henry Berona has been on the Beyer High percussion and marching staff since the Fall of 2006. He began playing drums in the fourth grade and instantaneously became addicted. He was a part of the Ustach Middle Schcool drumline in 1999, and helped win the group a championship in 2001 playing the snare drum. He continued marching snare all through his high school years at Beyer High making percussion co-captain in 2004 and becoming the captain and section leader in 2005, while also returning to teach the middle school drumline at Ustach. Beyer made finals in the WBA circuit
all 4 of his years in the AAAAA division, and attended WGI nationals twice, earning the
silver medal in Scholastic A (2004) and making finals in Scholastic Open (2005). Though marching percussion wasn't the only thing that Henry did musically during high school, it was the main focus. He has also had the opportunity in playing the violin, trumpet, french horn, and clarinet. He currently attends MJC in hopes of transferring to a university with a major in biology. His influences include: Silver Lamb, Chuck Holtan, Phil Vallejo, Juan Gomez, Paul Muncy, Bobby Spangler, Bobby Bettencourt, Joey Dickerson, Daniel Miller-Schroeder, Brian Hoberg, Murray Gusseck, David Flores, Nate Bourg, Shekhar Khedekar, and many others still in the process of making an influence.
