Overview

Thank you for your interest in becoming a part of the nationally renown and award-winning Beyer High School Band and Color Guard! This page will hopefully answer all of your questions and direct you to the right places. Please don't hesitate to contact Blair Williams, our band director, if you have questions.

Interest Form

Fill out our Interest Form and we'll send you help when it comes time for class registration, as well as give you more information about the Beyer program!

Open Enrollment

If you are in middle school and live outside Beyer district boundaries, don't worry - you can apply for Open Enrollment (click link for info/application packet or see below)

State law provides the parents (guardians) or each school-age child who is a resident of the school district the opportunity to select the school the child will attend. Beyer has been selected as an open enrollment school starting next year (2009-2010). The deadline to apply is February 13, 2009. Click here for the official open enrollment information and application from the Modesto City Schools Information Handbook. If you have any questions, contact the Beyer High School Counseling Office.

What Will I Gain?

Our program provides students with the opportunity to explore and grow in their artistic careers while obtaining the skills necessary to succeed in life. Teamwork, citizenship, and compassion are only a few of the many qualities that students hope to gain while striving for a common goal. In the Beyer band and guard program, students also develop musicianship and artistic appreciation, while at the same time making new friends, traveling to exciting places, and learning to tackle challenges that will enable them to be successful later in life.
