Middle School Band Day
September 17th, 2008

Beyer will be hosting the first annual Middle School Band Day on Saturday, October 25th at the Beyer Band Field (behind the school). The event will go from 12:00p.m. to 1:30p.m. All interested band and color guard students grades 6-8 from all Modesto City Schools are invited along with their families to come see the Beyer Band and Color Guard in action! The band will do a special run through performance of their show, "A Moment", as well as demonstrate some of their rehearsal techniques. Students will get a chance to see first hand the excitement and fun of being in the band and color guard as they prepare for their competition that night at Johansen High School. After the band is done with their run through performance, students will have a chance to talk to the band and guard members, ask questions and get to know them. At the event there will be a table set up with parents and staff on hand to answer your questions about the Beyer program. Students will a T-Shirt and a FREE ticket to the show courtesy of the Beyer Band Boosters! Come out, bring a friend and your family, and enjoy the day. The evening show, called MIV (Modesto Invitational) starts at approximately 5:00p.m. with 17 bands scheduled to perform, including our own 3 time defending State Champions Beyer High School! Download an informational flyer here. Please distribute to anyone you think might be interested, or for more information, feel free to contact us by phone or email. Hope to see you there!

A Huge Thank You
September 21st, 2008

Mr. Williams and the Beyer staff would like to thank all of the students for a hugely successful weekend of rehearsal. The show saw tremendous improvement over the 2 day "camp" because of the hard work of the dedicated students, and we are much closer to being finished and ready for the first competition. Also, we couldn't have done it without the amazing support of the Beyer Booster parents and the Blue Crew! Thank you to everyone for making the weekend special, and continuing to be a part of our great Beyer tradition!
